Just in time for end-of-year giving!
The Winnebago Health Foundation (WHF) has received its official tax exemption status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Although Tribal Organizations fall into a different part of the IRS Tax Code than other not-for-profits, the WHF Board recognized the traditional 501(c) tax code designations were more readily known by more people and made it easier for donors’ tax preparers to designate any contributions to WHF as an official charitable contribution. Tax filers itemizing their annual contributions can do good by contributing to WHF and can help themselves out on their taxes, too!
